Traveling Intuitively: What Are You Picking Up On?
Dear Friends,
Lately, I’ve been dreaming into the possibility of a fall road trip—exploring new places and quiet pockets of nature. And as I think about traveling as an intuitive person, I want to share something with you that might help if you’ve ever felt off while visiting a new place.
First, let me say:
It’s my firm belief that we are all intuitive.
You have access to wisdom beyond logic—your body, your spirit, and your energy field are constantly in conversation with the world around you. The more you practice mindfulness and self-awareness, the more clearly you’ll hear it.
Imagine this: you're visiting a popular historic site on your fall vacation. The energy feels heavy. You're suddenly overwhelmed, or even afraid. The people around you feel tense, and you just want to get away. Later, you find yourself in a quiet wooded campground, feeling peaceful again.
What changed?
It might not be your emotions you were feeling earlier.
You could have been picking up the emotional residue of the land and the people who’ve passed through it.
This is one of the gifts—and challenges—of being intuitive. We’re often more energetically sensitive than we realize. And that’s why it’s so important to pause, check in, and ask:
“Is this mine?”
Let your inner wisdom answer.
And then here’s the beautiful part:
You have the power to shift that energy.
You can connect with the Source of all love—the Creator of all that is—and ask that those feelings be released, sent to the light, never to return. You don’t have to carry what isn’t yours.
When I think about mindfulness, I don’t just think about breathing or meditation.
I think about being full of awareness—of your surroundings, your thoughts, your body, your truth.
Are you noticing what you’re feeling?
Are you taking charge of your emotional state?
Do you remember what your body feels like when it is relaxed, at peace, or in joy?
This kind of embodied awareness helps you release stress, deepen your faith in yourself, and strengthen your connection to the Divine.
Wherever your path leads this fall—whether far from home or close to your own backyard—may you travel with trust in your intuition, clarity in your energy, and a heart open to joy.
With love,
Jill
